Her Early Life

Forever a Daddy's girl

Shirley finally gets her
 baby girl

At 8 years old I dreamed of having a "baby girl". Must have 2 boys first to watch out for her & protect her. A baby girl that I could sew for, do her hair, talk to about every thing under the sun and make feel special!

And it happened just like that... two brothers to look out for her.

Be careful what you wish for lol She came into the world strong and outspoken, a force to be reckoned with!

For example, she walked at six months old. Not took a few steps... WALKED! Crawling was no longer an option!

She always spoke her mind, often with her poetry... She was a phenomenal woman!

Pause... to be continued in the new system of things, where she can use her teaching skills and love of people.

See you soon "baby girl"

A note from Shirley

jessica Marie was named after her grandmother, who she described as a fearless woman, jesse mae.

but that changed and animals became a big part of her life.

She didn't start off as an animal lover...

jessica grew up to be a true animal lover. she always loved having family pets to love on.

one of Shirley's cherished memories: teaching Jessica how to feed the squirrels

she grew up very family oriented, and family remained the center of her life.

Jessica was the youngest of three. Her bond with her brothers was something she deeply cherished.

What Shirley remembers most about Jessica's school years was "all of that hair"

Jessica was known for her intelligence. she was always looking for ways to deepen her mind and expand her creativity. In school she developed a love for history & creative writing.

Jessica's greatest passion was poetry. she was fearless when it came to expressing her deepest thoughts, emotions, and creativity. she also had a profound passion for music. she dreamed of being able to write music one day.

writing was far more than a hobby. it truly was a piece of her soul. through her poetry, she left behind fragments of her heart that will continue to comfort and inspire those who remember her.

Her Passions

Jessica was a proud detroit girl with a passion for self growth and being authentically herself. her confidence spoke volumes.

On june 23,1990, jessica dedicated her life to jehovah through water baptism.

throughout her journey, her love for jehovah never faded. she endured more than most ever knew, facing life's challenges with remarkable strength, resilience, and a quiet perseverance. those closest to her witnessed firsthand the immense courage it took for her to keep moving forward despite her struggles.

Her biggest goal finally fulfilled

her daughters were the absolute joy of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds. while her absence leaves a profound ache, her legacy lives on vividly through her beautiful daughters and the words she wrote.

Jessica deeply  touched the lives of many in meaningful ways. she nurtured and poured so much life into all of her friendships. she will be remembered for her loyalty, her comfort, her comedy, her depth, her taste, & her shine.

while our hearts are heavy with grief, we find deep comfort in the resurrection hope found in god's word. we eagerly and even desperately look forward to the day when jehovah fulfills his promise to remove suffering and death forever, reuniting us with the ones we love so dearly.

she leaves behind her two daughters, ja'el (preston), and amari; her mother, shirley;  her two brothers lamont (billeigh) and eric (trachette); her nieces, nikko and nadia (robert); her nephews christian (robyn), caiman (kayla), and lamont jr; her best friend & partner in crime, Marshawn; her forever sisters, lashawnda (william), chiquita (ricky), and brandi; and many many more...

until jehovah's great day, jessica will be remembered and celebrated through the family she cherished, the poetry she left behind, and the faith she held close.
